AWANA and Check-up

Sunday night Carson started AWANA at our church. AWANA is a program for children where they learn bible verses, do activities, rec, and snack. There were 10 in his class and he was the youngest by a year and a half and you could tell. Carson has never been in a structured school like setting before so watching him walk in line, sit on the carpet, raise his hand to ask a question where quit interesting. Well actually he didn't do any of the above. When they told the kids to walk in line he kept getting out and telling me to come with him. Rug time was another one, he doesn't exactly sit still. He was spinning in circles and trying to put his feet in the air. And hand raising, well he thought that was a game and during the whole lesson he kept waving his hands everywhere. Kids are suppose to be 3 and 4 in Cubbies class and he will be 3 next month so he is definitely very young for the class and it shows, but he loved it and the teachers said he did fine. We'll see how it goes.
Monday I took he, Brady, and Caroline to see the Smurf's since it is so hot outside. We went to the 11:30 show and no one was at the theater except Senior Citizens. We had the whole show to ourselves. Caroline slept the whole time and the boys ate their popcorn and watched about 45 minutes then they started running up and down the aisles. They had a blast and I enjoyed being indoors for entertainment.

Today was Caroline's 2 month appointment. I forgot how nice it was to take a child to the doctor that I don't have to entertain or keep quiet. She slept and just laid on the table and talked. She is 15 pounds now and 25". She is a growing girl. I HATE the shots part. She was so happy and talking and smiling and then poke it is scream fest. She only cried a second and then fell asleep again. I can't believe how fast 2 months has gone by.

So content before
And out after screaming.Carson went with Nelson and the Senior Adults to sing at the nursing home while I was at the dr. Nelson said Carson was singing and talking to all the old folks until one came up to him and started screaming, "Get me out of here" and another was stuttering so badly she couldn't even speak. When Carson got home he said that a lady was screaming and he closed his eyes. We'll see if he wants to go back singing again.

Tomorrow I start babysitting the little girl I babysat last semester 2 days a week. She is really sweet so that will give Carson a playmate a few hours each week.
